About Gena Gena West is an amazing singer/songwriter who has travelled the world extensively performing at high profile events such as the Olympic Games and even for the Queen of England! Hugely versatile, her unique talent has allowed her to sing across genres, from pop, RnB and soul, to gospel and jazz. As a recording artist, Gena’s first release was her single ‘Joy’ with Arista/BMG, a dance anthem here in the UK and a no 1 hit in Italy. Her debut album ‘Voices’ is a critically acclaimed gospel album which is described as ‘ a true classic’ and is still making waves across the globe. ‘World is going crazy’ is the new single from Gena’s forthcoming pop/RnB album, ‘Journal of Life’, and Gena is generously giving the proceeds for the sale of this first single to ‘Children in Crisis’, a UK based charity founded by the Duchess of York. Gena strongly believes in giving away the “first fruits” of her new album to a worthy cause, and has single-handedly sponsored the project herself. Gena’s goal is to raise as much money as possible through sales of her new single “World is Going Crazy”. She has filmed a high end music video which depicts some images of innocent children looking lost in the “craziness” of gritty, urban London, whilst giving the underlying message of hope.
